In this first episode of The Homeschool Sisters Podcast, Cait and Kara discuss homeschool overwhelm.
As homeschooling moms, it can be a challenge to balance everything! From homeschooling to laundry to dinner to self-care, it’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed and overextended.
But not to worry, we’ve got some ideas! From brain dumps and bullet journaling to Cait’s Year of Nope, your sisters are on your side. (But out of bread, because life.)

This was SO great, ladies!!! Well done! Now can we just sit down and have these conversations in real life?? 🙂
Oh my goodness- how fun would THAT be?? 🙂
Right now, we’re out of ice cream. It’s ALMOST an emergency!!!
Good podcast! I loved the idea of determining what needs to be done and what you want to get done. While not a new concept, somehow hearing it from someone else was validating.
Yes – Just talking it out with a friend was so helpful!
Love it!! For this introverted mamma this was the perfect conversation – chatting with “friends” without actually having to say anything! And friends who get it! The whole thing about people thinking because you homeschool you have all the time in the world to spend with them – unfortunately our family weren’t as understanding as yours, but I loved your perspective of I’m putting my children’s needs first. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can’t wait for the next one 🙂
Yeah! Thanks!! We’re excited about the next episode too!
Can’t find you on Stitcher yet… looking forward to it!
We’ve applied! Hopefully the approval process won’t take too long 🙂
Thank you for sharing this conversation. I’m a former high school English teacher trying to find the courage to homeschool my two older children and I took comfort in the fact that it doesn’t have to be perfect to work perfectly well. Thank you ladies!
It doesn’t – we promise! <3
I’m a latecomer to your podcast. Just listened to episode 1. Loved it! You speak right to my heart. Thank you! (Can’t figure out how to comment on the podcast, though, to give it five stars!)
Thank you so much, LaKrisha!!
Hey ladies! Excellent podcast. I was clicking through the links for further reading and I can’t get into Quill and Camera at all. ? The bullet journal 3.0 sounds like such a good blog post, too.
Thank you so much for telling us, Jesse. I have updated the links to Kara’s new site!
