I don’t know the requirements for community college writing instructors, but jobs like that will be posted on Higher Ed Jobs (https://www.higheredjobs.com), and it will list requirements. some fields certainly require a master’s, but my dad taught a music class (Jazz History, I think) at CC and he only had a high school diploma (OTOH, that was 30 years ago).
